Yara Yarn Logo
I was gone Friday so just started on this today. Ignore the color and how badly drawn it is. I mainly wanted to use either a cursive looking font since yarn is kind of that loose curvy shape. My idea was to either use some variation of Y's or to mainly use Yara. I want the text to be a yarn like texture. I found a way to make a rope like texture and I hope once I get a better color I can make it more yarn like. I think that I might need to make the end of the pattern actual ends and I might need to draw it by hand because with a mouse it looks a bit sloppy.

I like it! Maybe try making it a different color because right now it just kinda looks like rope for a hardware store.
ReplyDeleteYou might want to include the word yarn in your logo because otherwise I wouldn't know what your product was if it was in black and white. Also you might want to add a symbol because right now you just have text.
ReplyDeleteThis looks so cool! I think the connected letters really make it look like rope, but maybe add something else, like a ball of yarn would help make it obvious that it is yarn.
ReplyDeletei like the texture on the yarn/rope however it may be hard to tell what its for without any text.
ReplyDeleteUsing textured letters is pretty smart but it looks like rope. I agree with Sabeeha on the ball of yarn
ReplyDeleteIt's a good start, but I agree with Abby that you might want to add a symbol.
ReplyDeleteI like how creative it is! I agree with what everyone else is saying with either add a symbol or the word yarn
ReplyDeleteMaybe have it end in a yarn ball, that would clear up the confusion.
ReplyDeleteYes - the yarn ball, or the other way it is sold - in the oblong package, whatever that is called. Also check to make sure your yarn detail on the letters comes through OK at small business card size. I'm liking the full word Yara's better than the YY right now.
ReplyDeleteI like this, I would just add the rest of the company name.
ReplyDeleteI am really loving the yarn texture. This is a great idea with the yarn strung out. I prefer the logo with the yarn ball, your product is already sold and people know exactly what it is even if you don't have the actual name of the logo in there.
